Group Projects

These are projects that are not comics in and of themselves, but that have to do with promoting our comics or involve participating in a larger comic community. These are group projects in that one or more people have begun them, but that every BSer is invited and encouraged to contribute to. Helping these projects get off the ground can be considered your dues. But remember, it's a donation. You don't have to if you don't want to.

Currently, we are trying to accomplish the following:

• Make October "Bellingham Comics Month," beginning with a show at the Black Drop. We need ready to hang comic art by August 31st! Details to come!
• This Website. It is currently under construction by Fenmere and his little studio. All BSers will eventually get accounts where they can put contact information, biographies, and even host a comic! Woo! This may take a little while to complete. The alleged forum may come sooner, as it is premade.
• A booth at the 2005 Comics Con. If you want to be there, you have to pay for your own transportation and hotel room, but we may be able to get group rates. Also, the more people that contribute, the less each person has to pay for the booth, and the less time each person has to stay at the booth. We'll opperate in shifts. It should be awesomely cool! Julie McGalliard and Fenmere are just now looking into this.
• An ashcan. When we've got enough printable comics, wouldn't it be neat to publish them in a book? Wouldn't it be really neat to do this once a year?
• Propaganda Posters! Create a poster to let everyone know about the B.S. of Comics. Also, gear the poster towards educating people on how cool and sophisticated it is to read and create comics.
• The B.S. of Comics logo archive. Create a logo, send it to Fenmere for use on the site. Dimensions should be 240 pixels wide by no more than 240 pixels tall. At least half of it should be the words "B.S. of Comics."
